Ken Meyers,
a principal of Dynasty, helps companies outside the United States
adapt to the New York business culture. An experienced international
marketing consultant, he works closely with Chinese and American companies that seek to establish themselves in a new business environment. Ken graduated from Cornell University, where he majored in government and international
law.
Michael Zakkour, Sr. Consultant, China Business Strategies, advises Dynasty clients on the ever-changing nature of China-US trade and political relations. He is a recognized expert in China entry strategies, marketing and sales.
Mr. Zakkour is widely consulted by corporations, universities and media on Chinese business and culture, and is regularly called upon as a speaker and lecturer.
He has presented at the New York Bar Association Asian Affairs Committee, Thompson-Reuters Annual China Conference, Columbia Business School and the Wharton School of Business China Conference.
Mr. Zakkour was vice president of manufacturing and business development for Beijing Gongmei/Shanghai Direct, a Beijing manufacturing and sourcing company. He has also worked with Continental Airlines, Lucent Technologies and Microsoft in corporate marketing and high-tech product introduction. Mr. Zakkour's ties to China stretch back ten years. He resides in New York and Beijing, and travels frequently to Shanghai, Nanjing and Shenzhen.
Hong Cheng, Managing Director, works with Chinese and American clients to help meet the challenges of doing business in a foreign environement. She establishes and manages key relationships in government and the private sector. Hong is bi-lingual and literate in English, Mandarin Chinese as well as Shanghainese and Cantonese dialects. Ms. Cheng majored in financing and acoounting and is a graduate of Stern School of Business. She was formerly with CIBC World Markets,New York, Mergers and Acquisition Group. Ms Cheng has a strong interest in entertainment and media. Her company has produced and managed Chinese and American performing groups in New York, Atlantic City, Las Vegas and Beijing. She is the producer of "Champions of the Dance” which debuted in New York’s Town Hall on Broadway in January 2009.She maintains homes in New York and Shanghai and travels frequently between Asia and the USA.
Qin Qin Tang manages Dynasty’s outsourcing operations, assuring clear communication between US clients and their Chinese counterparts – high-tech industrial design centers and manufacturers in Shenzhen. Before joining Dynasty, Qin Qin provided project management and consulting services to Western and Chinese firms, including Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, Lenovo, Citibank, UBS, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Beijing Finance Street, MetLife and 3Com Corp. Fluent in Mandarin and English, Qin Qin obtained her master’s in International Business from the University of California, Berkeley, and her bachelor’s from Nanjing University. She was born and raised in Shanghai.
Dr. Daxi Li, head of the Dynasty Incubator Program for Chinese firms entering the US market, received his Ph.D. in physics from CUNY in 1985, and was an Assistant Professor at McGill University, CCNY, and NYIT from 1985 to 1991.
Dr. Li, who has a personal friendship with former President Jiang Zemin, President Hu Jintao and Premier Zhu Rongji, has participated in the China National Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, one of China’s most powerful organizations, where his suggestions to improve the nation’s eleventh Five-Year Plan were well-received.
Dr. Li founded the China Association for Science and Business in 1997 to promote hi-tech development, venture capital and banking reform in China. He is also co-founder and Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Student Venture Park, a joint-venture with the Shenzhen city government, which hosts 250 tech startups. Dr Li worked for a decade at some of Wall Street’s premier investment banks, including Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers. He is currently Director of the Board of United Orient Bank, where he oversees investments and auditing.
Robin Sanderson, head of Dynasty’s US marketing, advertising and PR division, supports Chinese firms that want to establish a presence in the United States. Robin’s guidance enables Chinese corporations to adapt smoothly to a new business environment.
As head of The Sanderson Group, Inc., a New York-based, full service marketing consulting, marketing communications and event/promotion marketing firm, Robin has been successful in working with a broad spectrum of clients to deliver innovative marketing solutions. Clients have included Advanta, American Express, Canon, CardinalHealth, Citigroup, and Molton Brown among others.
Prior to forming The Sanderson Group, Robin was the Executive Vice President of MarketSource Corporation. In her fourteen-year tenure, she was responsible for growing the company from a $6 million to an $80 million business through new product introduction and business development. She holds a BSBA degree in Accounting from Bucknell University and an MBA in Marketing from Fordham.
Wei Huang,
Director of Dynasty’s US-China Business Forum, is a sought-after international consultant whose cross-cultural expertise has been recognized by major corporations, including Exxon Mobil, Aramco Overseas, China National Petroleum Co. and Novartis.
In addition to directing the Dynasty Forum, held at New York’s Cornell Club,
Wei, fluent in English and Mandarin, spends much of her time in China where she helps Western firms negotiate business and implement marketing strategies. Wei earned her Ph.D. in chemical engineering from CUNY and a master’s in Organizational Psychology from NYU.
She lectures frequently on cross-cultural issues at New York’s China Institute and other venues throughout the United States.
